5 Cooler-Ready Recipes for Summertime at Splashway

A family enjoys a picnic on a colorful blanket. Two adults and four children are sitting on the grass with a cooler and various fruits.

We believe there’s never such a thing as being too prepared. That’s why we allow coolers so you can bring everything your family needs, including food! Whether due to dietary restrictions, picky eaters, or budget, bringing cooler-safe foods is totally fine in our book. Here are five recipes for tasty snacks you can prep at home and bring to the park! (But don’t forget to plan for at least one cheat treat at the end!)

Apple & Peanut Butter Granola Crunch Wrap

Start your Splashway day with a healthy and filling breakfast on the drive up. These crunch wraps are easy to make and travel even easier! A healthy blend of peanut butter, sliced apples, and your favorite granola mix are all you need for a protein and fiber-filled boost. Have a peanut allergy to worry about? Substitute your favorite nut butter! Get the recipe here.

No-Bake S’more Energy Bites

No more snack attacks! These energy bites are a healthier s’more option, packed with protein to amp up the energy, and help curb all-day snacking. We won’t tell your kids there’s less sugar in these if you don’t! Get the recipe here.

Pizza Pasta Salad

It’s a kid-friendly twist on a summertime favorite. Though this recipe is for pepperoni pizza, you can turn your family’s favorite pizza go-to into a travel-friendly dish. Make it a little more Mom-friendly by adding in some fresh basil! Get the recipe here.

Ham & Cheese Roll Up Sandwich

Not your ordinary sandwich! Roll-ups are a great portable sandwich option that taste good served hot or cold! You can choose any protein and cheese combination to make exactly what your kiddos like, but who doesn’t love a little ham and cheese? Get the recipe here.

Fruit Kabobs

These easy fruit kabobs are the perfect afternoon snack to energize and hydrate. Customize kabobs with summer-friendly fruit you know your kiddos love like pineapple, watermelon, strawberries and blueberries. If you have some extra time, cut fruit into fun shapes! Get the recipe here.

While it’s great to bring snacks everyone in the family can enjoy, there are some things you just can’t make at home. Save some room for a piping-hot pizza slice and treat yourself to a made-from-scratch funnel cake served at one of our Splashway eateries.
